How to Help

What can you do to protect Blounts Creek?

Take Action:

Ask Governor McCrory and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Donald van der Vaart to publicly support our right under state law, to challenge this permit. Please call or email today.

Talking Points:

– I ask you to stand up for the rights of downstream fishermen, boaters, landowners, residents, and businesses to protect our interests.

– I ask that you issue a public statement in support of PTRF, NCCF’s and downstream residents’ right to challenge this permit.

– The permit will allow Martin Marietta Materials to dump up to 12 million gallons of wastewater into Blounts Creek every day. This will threaten the habitat of red drum, speckled trout, and river herring.

– Please add personal comments if you live, recreate on, or use Blounts Creek.
